Wheels To You is located in the heart of the midwest in Des Moines, Iowa. We do many car and moving truck trips to/from Des Moines, Kansas City, Omaha, Minneapolis, Chicago, and other midwestern cities. For trips outside of Des Moines, I usually take a bus or plane to the city of origin and back from the destination.

If you are moving, I can even provide a rental truck and bring it to you, as long as you supply local movers to load/unload. I often drive the truck both ways from Des Moines, as the daily rate for a round trip is much less than a 1-way rental.(midwest trips only)

All of my expenses are included in a quote. For example, let's say I'm helping someone get their car/moving truck from Chicago to Los Angeles... My bus trip to Chicago, gas, (truck rental if I've provided a moving truck) food, motels, tolls, plane trip back to Des Moines, and labor rate are ALL included in a flat fee quote. There are no additional expenses with the exception of the customer providing a ride to the bus station/airport.

We are very flexible and will work with you to provide a low-cost and comfortable experience getting your wheels wherever you need them to go!

That's also how many snowbirds feel this time of year as they head south for a few months to escape winter and enjoy the beauty of Florida, Arizona, and other popular homes away from home. And for those of us who enjoy winter and the fun of skiing, sledding, ice skating/fishing, and other winter activities, we might also describe winter this way.

Either way, driving your car or rental truck cross-country this time of year can be quite stressful, and sometimes downright dangerous. Weather can create quite a challenging experience through snow, ice, airport delays, etc.

In addition to delivering your car to you from your pick-up to drop-off location, there are lots of "little things" we can do that no auto transport company will ever do. Here are just a few:

1) DELIVER PETS AT NO EXTRA CHARGE - I'm both a dog and cat lover and have delivered both on many of my trips. I enjoy the company and take good care of them. In the case of large dogs, I can save you both a lot of $ and the misery of drugging your pet to put it on an airline that specializes in pet transportation.

2) DROP YOU OFF / PICK YOU UP AT THE AIRPORT - If timing permits, I can drop you off at the airport on my way out of town or pick you up at the destination airport as I'm coming into town. This saves you the time and $ of paying for a taxi or limousine.

3) DELIVER LUGGAGE, BOXES, ETC. - Because of weight limitations, auto transport trucks cannot take cars with luggage, boxes, etc. inside of them. I can. This saves you time and $ by not having to ship them back and forth.

4) PROVIDE A RENTAL TRUCK - If you are moving cross-country to/from the midwest, we can provide a rental truck and drive it both ways. You would need to provide local movers to load/unload, but the daily rate for a truck we provide could save you $ over a 1-way rental.

Because we are not a large company transporting cars in bulk, we are much more flexible and can do a variety of little things that add value to our service. We will give you our very best service that meets your needs!

Depending on what kind of car you need delivered, that will largely determine what kind of car delivery service you'll want to use. If you have an older vehicle that you just want to get moved for the lowest price possible, auto. transport is probably your best bet. Though I'm in the ballpark on price, they can usually do it for less. That's because transport rates are way down due to the economy, and because I have additional costs to consider in my quotes. They deliver in bulk; I deliver one-on-one. I realize that may lose me a little business, but that's OK because I don't compete on cost, but value. 

My customers use me because I am the alternative to the things they don't like about transport. Transport companies cannot tell you exactly when your car will arrive; I can. Transport companies don't allow you to load up your car with other things; I do. Transport companies won't take your pet along with your car; I can at no extra charge, saving you tons of $ having to do it another way. I also can help you load and drive a moving rental truck for those who are moving cross-country.
